TRANSPORTATION
Planes:
It is most convenient to fly directly into the Austin Bergstrom Airport, located in southeast Austin. Most major airlines fly into Austin. Make sure to check out www.southwest.com in addition to Expedia.com and Orbitz.com.
You may also choose to fly into one of these three Texas cities and rent a car if it is more affordable. Expect about a 1-1/2 hour drive from San Antonio, a 3 hour drive from Houston, and a 3-1/2 hour drive from Dallas.

Automobiles:
We strongly recommend that you rent a car if you fly into Austin. Austin is well known for its live music scene, not its public transportation!
Check Expedia.com and Orbitz.com for much lower rates than calling the rental car companies directly.
